In-Transit

Arrived at 11 something at Changi Airport and stright
went to boot up the PC to get my presenstation
material done. I saw many of my colleagues on the
same flight and everyone is heading to US for some
reason. It is unusual to see so many of them on the
same flight.. It is like a mini office on the air.
Hehe... I have a total of 4 presentations to be
completed, and I decided to do the one that is due on
Monday, luckily for me, only one of the 4 is due on
Monday, I have finish most of it, and will need touch
up during the flight. I have only 2 hours of battery
life, will have to make the best of it when flying.

Just finished lunch and thought of checking in before
the next long flight. When I got down and switch on
the phone, M1-GSM appear and whola, I am on.. hehe..
first time on roaming... ada katak bawah tempurung
sikit... seronok...

Well, going to check out some of the outlets here to
find out the prices of some stuff, checked out the
VSOP cognac just now at Penang Airport and it was RM
157, here in Singapore Airport, it is S62.80, both are
far more expensive than what I paid for in Langkawi,
which is only RM108. Will have to check it out in the
states, wonder if inflight price is cheaper.

Am on one of the free internet access sponsored by
Samsung, only 15 limit per usage... thus.. will check
in here again on the next avaliable time...

Digital Prints

I went over to BJC last night to have some photos printed (from http://sweetsour.uni.cc/galleries/thumbnails.php?album=12 ). I asked some of my friends here in office they told me that the cheapest that we can get for 4R digital print here in Penang is about RM0.45 per piece.  However, he doesn’t know where it was.  Since I was quite in a hurry, and I didn’t want to or rather lazy to scout around, I just went to a photo shop that I know in BJC, the ground floor Kodak Photo Shop that is in the middle (literally) of the complex.  It cost Rm0.60 per piece, quite a lot more than the cheapest price, but since I am only printing a few, I didn’t mind.  It only took a hour to get the photos developed and we paid RM4.00 for one of the photo to be blown up to 5R.  Notice the huge price difference between 4R & 5R.  However, the photos did not turn up as expected.  The shop pretty much adjusted the contrast and color a little and that resulted red blemishes (like rashes) to appea

The search for Rechargeable Batteries

With the new camera, I need to get new rechargeable batteries. I did some digging and found the highest mAh is 2500mAh and the fastest charger is 15 minutes. I have not decided which to buy yet. Energizer Energizer have a few kind of chargers, the 15min charger, the 30min charger, the car charger and the regular chargers. The energizer web site is rather rich in information, especially on how rechargeable batteries work . There are also information on other batteries types and also how to care for your batteries and a whole heap of batteries information. Best battery site I have seen, with nice cartoonist illustration and animation. The Technical Information is available, but it was not detailed enough for my liking, and this is the only drawback that the site has. As I was browsing through the blogger communities, there are a lot of people who has plenty of Gmail invite to give away, but they in turn request for people to do funny things, like wet T'shirt contest, money, photo of self taken with the web address written on a paper... design of banners, etc...
